Clarification: there will be no The Last Jedi at SDCC so it's totally possible and probably likely that we'll get some good Star Wars stuff there. Should be a fun couple of weekends with lots of announcements either way.

I'm giving Rawls one more chance to prove he's not "injury prone" and that the last couple injuries were just unfortunate happenings. My faith in him not getting injured is about the same as my faith in Lacy keeping his weight down: cautiously optimistic. That said, even an overweight Lacy can be an effective runner and a real hard mother effer to bring down. A broken Rawls doesn't help at all.

But what if, and I know this is a big what if, but what if somebody working on the film who doesn't like Deray did in fact design that ape to represent him? That would be some fucked up shit, no?

I think that's a pretty good Trump comparison. Fair.

Lucasfilm had already announced that they will not have a Star Wars presence at San Diego Comic Con this year, so expect any big announcements (before the big The Last Jedi push starts in the fall) to come this weekend at D23.

Biggest rumors so far are of a behind the scenes "sizzle" reel like the ones we got for both TFA & RO 6 months or so before their respective releases. It's possible we'll get a new full length trailer, but I don't really expect that until the fall.

Additionally, I'm hoping for announcements regarding the 3rd anthology film, or at least (and probably more likely) an official title for the Han Solo film. Probably lots of stuff about the under construction "Star Wars Land" and hopefully some info on the in production open world have being developed by EA Visceral.

    Star Wars word vomit.

Bound to be tons of Marvel stuff too, which I enjoy, but don't get my panties all moist over.

Anything coming up you're looking forward to finding out more about during these conventions? It's a pretty great time to be a nerd.

I expect competition between Lacy and Rawls to get pretty intense. I have to believe the young guy will come out on top and hopefully for the better. Collins and Prosise are sure to see their fair share of action, assuming they can hold off the competition of the younger up and comers, but neither are likely to see the lion's share of carries without a couple of disastrous injuries.

I do expect Lacy to contribute positively throughout the season, so I'm gonna say Rawls beats him out by roughly 20%-30%. Like maybe 800 to 600, something like that. With the committee situation likely I don't expect any one player to break 1k, but if we can get 1500-2000 out of the crew (not including what Russell should bring to the table) I think we'll be in pretty good shape.

My brain is out of football shape. This was an exercise for me more than anything else haha. Let me know what you think.

Ok so there's an ape in the movie with a blue vest and some people are insinuating (based on the similarity of both the look of the character and some of the actions of the character and Mr McKesson) that it's supposed to be him. People were pointing out the similarities (some mockingly, as not all are fans of Mr McKesson) and then Deray himself tweeted about it, saying he was offended, after which Twitter got on his head for actually believing it was supposed to be him.

    Thoughts?

Btw, if you're unaware, Deray McKesson is a well known activist typically associated with BLM. He is respected by many as and activist but also disliked by many for being "corporate" or somewhat of a "sellout". I've no real personal opinion of him as I'm not familiar enough, though I have enjoyed some of his tweets. There's plenty of info on the web about him if you're curious.
