You really cant do much more than Bobby did today.. wow.

That was a pretty satisfying win except for allowing 400+ yards passing. Our CBs are young and I still hope they develop, but we will probably be looking for a CB1 next off season, wouldnt you think? Then if Griffin and Flowers do develop wed be sitting even prettier.

I think its simply kind of base level fandom to hate a guy in the modern NFL for simply going somewhere else..especially when our team cut him. He didnt even leave for more money.

But if you dislike Sherman for the things he has said on his way out, or after joining them.. if you dislike his like of self awareness -- I think its completely understandable.

I would actually turn it on its head and say... why dont you feel something negative towards someone disparaging your coach? It doesnt make you angry to hear someone attack the greatest coach the Seahawks have ever had?

And doesnt it give you some at least vague feelings of distrust and injustice when you see someone in a position of authority use that authority to give a younger person a chance..to bring them along.. to put them in a position ..the BEST position to succeed.. and then see that younger person spit in their face.. it fairly well outrages me.

Now, Sherm will be Sherm and some will say "why would you expect to be any different now?" But I see a difference. In his early years with the club, he was having to establish him and he was going after people who doubted him and who maybe legit had wronged him. I even, it seems more than most, completely understood his rant about Crabtree and the 49ers just after The Tip. Season on the line, and you call a play targetting Sherman? THATS what you think is your best chance? Id be mad too. But by the end of his stay in Seattle.. Angry Sherm had lost a lot of cred in his rants. Id watch a game.. watch something happen with my own eyes ..and hear Sherm give a completely false account in post game interviews and watch him be so condescending to anyone who doubted his account.

And then.. as I mentioned..go after PC? Really dude? Without Cover 3, your career was already over after a few good years and a couple of middling years. PC put you in the best scheme for your talents. Because of Pete, the 49ers run that so you can still do what you do. What happens if you were put in Oaklands D? And you had to cover your WR on ANY route he ran on your repaired Achilles? We all know why you had 3 choices of teams.. you can only go to Cover 3 teams. And the only reason there are cover 3 teams is Pete. Before Pete came back to the NFL everyone thought you cant run Cover 3 in the NFL it was a high school and college scheme. So Pete brought it back, drafted you because youre perfect for it.. created a trend so you could continue to do it.. He protected your outspokenness, and put up with your out of bounds behavior because of how he feels about you and because of his philosophies as a coach...and you throw THAT man under the bus? You still want to disparage Wilson and blame him for not having a second ring? Without Wilson you wouldnt have sniffed the first. Its a team man. Look at your team now. And you still havent gained perspective?

Yea. There is plenty to dislike about Sherm right now, legit stuff that goes beyond "he plays for the 49ers".

But all that said.. come one Seattle, why dont we have a statue of The Tip yet??

I saw the Seahawks at #10, #11 and #12 on power rankings all of a sudden. And its really cool just because it feels like a lot of the media is really happy to eating crow a bit about Seattle, because its a good story. The idea that the rebound year doesnt have to be that bad.. its interesting because there is some Coach of the Year buzz for Carroll, probably more than our Super Bowl season. This season is really showing the NFL how great Carroll is , because in years past there were other narratives -- lucky drafts, the GM is doing it, its all about Lynch, or lucking into getting two dominant DEs at bargain prices do to flukes.

Its really a great year to be a Seahawk fan, isnt it?

I dont know that all the super stars except maybe Avril and Thomas would have made a difference in wins though..

Really great win today. Really proud of them to get this kind of win.. had to change their game plan and they were really challenged on Defense but made just enough plays to give themselves a chance.

Red zone defense was on point and the pass protection really tightened up.

Man.. really really excited for this team right now!

The Ring of Honor isnt just about level of play.. and the key word is "honor". Seattle is under no obligation to honor Hutch. Im not bitter anymore, but this isnt just a case of a player leaving to get more money. He purposely agreed to not let the Seahawks even have a legit chance of matching the offer..so F him. No ring of honor. Ever. I assume he wants to go into the Hall as a Viking. But he wont make it. Hes in the Hall of Great but not All Time Greats.

Tom Flores..was a Seahawk like Franco Harris was a Seahawk. I have a soft spot for him because #LatinNFLPioneer and same university..but no real connection to the Seahawks. (trivia: 2 Seahawk coaches went to the same university..which was it? Hint: Where I did my undergrad)

Even Kevin Mawae.. we think of as a Jet dont we?

There wont be any real Seahawks in until 2024 and beyond, assuming Kam officially retires next year. Have to see how his contract is structured.

All the cards fell right today for Seattle.. I believe now they essentially control their own destiny.

Take care of the 49ers and Cards as they should.. beat Carolina.. looking good. Even on the AFC things broke our way.. Chargers lost so the Chiefs may not be playing for anything when we play them.

Good list. It would be cool if we could also include maybe a source from the other teams town moving forward.

A link to fan sites might be too much trouble but what if we just started making a resource of that: a stand alone post that has opposing teams sites. We can add to it week by week instead of spending a huge amount of time compiling right away.
