RE: Extend Russ at 35 million?
@Veda-the-Moor the cap is going to jump a ton over the next 3 years so I would pay him 35 million and wouldn't think twice. An elite QB isn't a lock for the SB but what it does do is keep you in that 9-11 win range and with some luck, great draft picks, health etc you can win one. Look how many teams bwver even get close because of subpar QB play. For me losing Wilson could set you back a decade or more. He keeps you relevant and in the mix. But I'm the biggest Wilson Homer there is for whatever that's worth :)
RE: Moneyball, elite QBs, analytics...
Very good post even if I don't fully agree. A lot of it is spot. But....here is Duane Brown, who has more information and is closer to the situation than all of us and he sure sounds like he think they needed to lean on Russ more:

I'm not anti run I just think they needed to lean on Russ much more than they did in the Dallas game. And Pete, Schott, Russ and now Duane to their credit have already admitted it.
RE: Game #2 Seahawks (0-1) vs Bears (0-1) Monday Night Football
The NFL at least on offense, has passed Pete by because he refuses to adapt. Can you imagine Wilson if he played in a system like Philly, KC, NE, Pittsburg? He would have multiple mvps at this point. Pete needed to hire a OC who challenged him and instead he got a guy who hasn’t been successful at any stop and will run an outdated archaic offense that Pete is too stubborn to move away from. We ran twice into stacked boxes on 2nd and long. That is something smart teams never do. The post game interview was telling as well. Pete said he had Schott doing some things.....Pete getting his hands in something that he shouldn’t. Wilson was visibly upset with both of them after the dumb timeout call.
I love Pete and what he’s done here but he’s the problem and he’s too stubborn to change.
RE: Alex Jones, Freedom of Speech and the Internet
@veda-the-moor I don’t think he represents the right though either. He’s essentially a comedian. But for your example people on the left have said horrible things as well, I don’t think that’s disputed and I completely agree his sandy hook conspiracy is absolutely terrible. Ok i forgot where I was going with this, should wait til after the game at least ha!
RE: Aaron Rodgers has it right, much as I hate writing those words
I’m with Rodgers on this one.
