Marshawn Ejected from TNF game; Finishes the game among the Fans
Marshawn was ejected from the game for making contact with the officials. His teammate thinks it was to protect his cousin Marcus Peters on the Chiefs and not his QB. Lynch wasn't in on this play and came from the sideline.
Donald Penn said:
“I saw Marshawn come out there; that’s his cousin. Chris Long did that thing to his brother a couple years ago. Marshawn wasn’t doing anything. He was just trying to protect his cousin, get his cousin to the sideline. They’re real close, they’re more like brothers than cousins, they’re real close. He’s going to learn. Marshawn’s smart, he’s going to learn from that moving forward.”
After his ejection, he finished the game in the stands:
Stupid move by Marshawn; you never lay hands on a ref. But his watching the game in the stands is priceless!
What ever fines or suspension he gets,he will deserve it.
Still makes me appreciate him as a player and fan of the sport.
Looks like Marshawn used instances of other players "touching" officials without getting suspended.
I doubt they "touched" the refs like the way Marshawn did. I think you can see he was going to grab/push anyone next to him; happened to be a ref.
Suspension of one-game upheld.
